Social Skills Groups

Goals of Social Skills Training:

• Improve child's ability to make and keep friends
• Increase child's self-confidence
• Learn ways to behave more appropriately in different settings
• Improve conversational skills
• Improve nonverbal communication skills
• Gain cooperation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Educate child and parents on proactive social strategies

Social Skills Groups at KRS:

• New sessions beginning in March, May, and July 2014
• Sessions run six weeks
• Groups meet for 60-minutes, twice per week
• Cost is $55 per week (insurance may reimburse cost)
• Available for children ages 8-15
• Between 3 and 6 children per group
• Groups determined based on age, abilities, and need areas
