Could my Child Benefit from Occupational Therapy Services?
If your child exhibits any of the following behaviors, an occupational therapy evaluation may be appropriate:
- Frequently tilt his/her head to one side when performing tabletop activities
- Frequently bump into things
- Have poor eye-hand coordination
- Exhibits challenging behavior when transitioning from one activity to another
- Finds it difficult to successfully complete daily routines
- Seems clumsy or awkward when performing certain activities
- Finds clothing, physical contact, light, sound, or other sensory input unbearable
- Has trouble judging distance
- Has difficulty organizing homework or keeping up with academic coursework
