Diane Andert, OTR/L

Diane Andert is a Registered Occupational Therapist who has been an owner of Kalamazoo Area Rehab Services (KRS) since 1991. She graduated from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan in Occupational Therapy in 1980. Through the course of 33 years of practice, Diane worked at Borgess Medical Center for 11 years working clinically with populations such as: chronic pain, neurological conditions, orthopedic conditions, and arthritic patients.

In 1984, Diane assisted in the development of the Borgess Back-to-Work Center managing its off-campus location.

In 1988, Diane was invited to speak at the "Industrial Rehabilitation Midwest Regional Conference" in Chicago, Illinois speaking with nationally recognized clinicians such as Leonard Matheson, PhD, Susan Isernhagen, PT, and Melanie Ellexson, OTR. She has served as President of the Southwestern Michigan Occupational Therapy Association, Chaired, Public Information for the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association, and Chaired, the Work Interest Specialty Section for the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association.

Diane has been a long standing member of the American Occupational Therapy Association. In July of 1990, Diane was appointed an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Occupational Therapy Department within the College of Health and Human Services at Western Michigan University. The appointment was for a three year term.

Additionally, Diane served as a clinical instructor in the Occupational Therapy Department at WMU for two years (2000-2002) teaching the OT Management course.

In May, 2004, Diane was one of four presenters at the American Occupational Therapy Association Annual Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota entitled "Transitioning Into an Emerging Practice: Key Elements in Developing a Business Plan".
